Campus Enrichment Specialist

Campus Enrichment Specialist 

The Campus Enrichment Specialist will facilitate learning by creating and implementing student lessons and experiences, including individual and group projects, outdoor learning, and spaces using art, culture, healthy habits, and STEM. The Campus Enrichment Specialist will help shape and develop a campus wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student. The Campus Enrichment Specialist will assist in developing students’ cognitive capacity, increasing academic skill development, and a respect for learning. This positon will work with the Director of Programs & Operations and the Site Coordinator to ensure both school and after school programs enhance the vision and priorities of the campus.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Able to create enrichment lessons that support core subjects;

  • Able to use non-traditional materials and spaces to enhance learning;

  • Communicates with parents, students, employees and others;

  • Implement a clear and consistent behavior management system that aligns to campus-wide initiatives;

  • Develop students’ character and sense of community in the classroom;

  • Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust;

  • Provide enrichment leadership for in school and after school program students;

  • Attend scheduled meetings with Site Coordinator to coordinate program design, evaluation process, and outreach efforts;

  • Work closely with Site Coordinator to organize schedule of enrichment and/or recreational activities; implement evaluation tools; and complete professional development;

  • Reports to the Site Coordinator;

  • Performs other duties as assigned;

Qualifications:

  • Good written and verbal communication skills;

  • Basic computer knowledge;

  • Working with little to no supervision;

  • Ability to instruct students;

  • Ability to manage student behavior;

  • Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the campus environment;

  • Believes and is committed to our mission and being an agent of change;

  • Able to use student management systems for daily tasks and reporting;

  • Ability to adjust to new job responsibilities, as assigned;

  • Time management and behavior management skills;

Requirements:

  • Must have some college credits, Bachelor’s Degree, and/or equivalence of two or more years of relevant experience;

  • Must have two years of demonstrated experience in working with students in grades K – 6;

  • Must have two years of demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: art, culture, healthy habits, and STEM;

  • Must be able to attend scheduled trainings, which may include weekends;

  • Must be able to pass a background check and fingerprinting;

Job Details:

Days: Monday – Friday; Scheduled Saturdays for Community Meet-Up

Hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM

Salary: $13.00 – $15.00 per hour

Duration:  August 2020 through July 2021
